About The 3 AM Beacon
At 3 a.m., the world tilts. Shadows move. Questions echo. Regrets magnify. The line between what’s real and what we tell ourselves feels thin.
I’m Thaddeus Cain. I write about fear, faith, and the quiet insistence of the work we’re called to do—even when life keeps trying to pull us away from it.
The 3 AM Beacon is where I share the writing process in real time, including the work behind my debut supernatural thriller, THE IN-BETWEEN—along with reflections on life, fear, belief, and the choices we make when darkness feels close.
THE IN-BETWEEN is set in 1980s Rhode Island. After his girlfriend Beth and her family are murdered, sixteen-year-old Mark Russo begins seeing Beth again—sometimes as comfort, sometimes as warning—while a broken-down detective investigates a case that starts to reach back into his own past.
Some days the words come clean. Other days, it’s a fight to earn the next sentence. I share both: pages, setbacks, breakthroughs, and the human cost of finishing what you started.
If you’re drawn to psychological suspense, supernatural dread, and honest reflection—with a small, stubborn thread of light—you’re in the right place.
Let’s keep watch together.
